(St.Gallen, Switzerland). Venture as computer artist, internet- researcher /
archeologist. Parallely she works as information-, interfacedesigner
in Maastricht,
Netherlands and in Switzerland.
Next to diverse activities in the field of new media art & design her
main artistic work can be described as: an exploratory mode of research
called "the (hi)stories of computerscience", "the (hi)stories of g.a.s."
and
other sorts of private encyclopedias.
Main themes of interest:
the correlation between popular culture, computer science, science
fiction, the comic and game culture and the history
of the internet. This includes digital folklore and the history of "open
source".
Seen in a broader sense, the work is related to methods & questions concerning the
so
much
discussed
"knowledge
society". A parallel field of interest and work is: participatory
pervasive
personal
publishing.
