Website Was Sehen Manager |
The "Was Sehen
Manager" is a website for a series of workshops initiated by the art,
science & business program of the Akademie Schloss Solitude and Claus Noppeney.
This venture explores the correlation between the visual culture and management.
"Visuals are playing an increasingly important role in business today. Case in
point: the omnipresent charts, PowerPoint presentations and corporate
designs found just about everywhere in industry." It's the framework
for two workshops that the Akademie Schloss Solitude is hosting this
spring. Titled "Was sehen Manager?" (What Do Managers See?),
the workshops aim to foster a discourse between managers and artists,
while exploring questions surrounding terms such as "visual culture"
and "pictorial turn." The first of these two German-language
workshops will take place from 7th until 9th April and from 5th until 7th Mai
2005 at the Akademie Schloss Solitude in Stuttgart, Germany. The objective of the
website was to design a platform to announce the workshop itself, secondly
to present the invited participants and the third point to document the
workshops impressions and content afterwards. The goal was to design
a clear information website with a touch of playfulness. The playfulness
is incorporated in the navigation which is meant to be a bit quirky but
kept in a way that one is still able to handle the moving typography.
The art, science & business logo is changed slightly to a typographic
element within the navigation. The content section is left rigorously
for information, content and plain common sense. Additionally to the
website we have produced a sound-scape of an existing powerpoint presentation
of Claus Noppeney. This original presentation is slightly altered to
meet the websites "ambient," content. and technicality. As
for that, the material section will follow with impressions of this workshops. Link: Was Sehen Manager? Website Was Sehen Manager? |
